Father's Day

Happy 1st Father's Day, my Love! You are such an amazing husband and father and we are so blessed to call you "daddy." You work extremely hard to provide for our family and never complain about your hours. You are always excited to come home and we can count on you greeting us with your amazing smile. You are such a fun daddy and Lee already loves to "play" with you. We love you!

We had a wonderful Father's Day together. Lee had to go in to round at the hospital but was home at 8 a.m. so I made him a breakfast of blueberry muffins and scrambled eggs with onions, jalapenos (from our garden), ham, and cheese. It was yummy! After breakfast, Lee opened his gift from us.

Later that afternoon, we went to the pool for a little while. Lee 3 enjoyed the pool again and survived his first dunk in the water. He was a little stunned when he came up but didn't cry :-)
He has a hard time keeping his eyes open because it's so bright (as you can see in the picture), but I've ordered some sunglasses for him so hopefully he'll enjoy being outside even more.
About 2 minutes after we took this picture, Lee fell asleep in my arms. Guess that sun and swimming wear him out!

We went to church that night and then came home for a yummy shrimp pasta dinner. I used squash, tomatoes, basil, and parsley from our garden too! Dessert was homemade peach ice cream...my first attempt at ice cream and I think it turned out pretty well though it was more the consistency of frozen yogurt. All in all, it was a great day and daddy Lee enjoyed his first Father's day!
