This past week, I went to Tybee Island, just off the coast of Savannah, with Lee's family. He was supposed to be able to go too but his vacation schedule was changed. He was sweet enough to encourage me to go anyway. It was a great, relaxing beach vacation including lots of laying out on the beach, eating good seafood, and of course we watched tons of the Olympics! We had a couple rainy days so I had lots of time to crochet and finished 2 more baby blankets (for friends, not for me).
An update on the basement too. The carpet was installed while I was gone so Lee was able to move the furniture in and get the TV all set up. When we got back Saturday, his brother and dad helped him move the desk and futon from the study downstairs. Now we just need to clean, organize, and hang stuff on the walls. It's been great so far! I find myself wanting to be down here most of the time :-) There are a couple pics in the slideshow below, but I'll put up more once we have everything set up a little nicer.
The future nursery is now empty and waiting to be filled! Once we find out what Baby G is next week, we'll be able to pick a paint color and get things moving.
