Baylor Homecoming

I was so excited to take the kids to Baylor's Homecoming this year since we are back in Texas. I knew they would love the parade and other festivities. We got there Friday afternoon and met up with Kate and Kelly and their kids at Ninfa's for an early dinner. The kids all had fun, especially the boys. Lee was excited to see Pierson again and meet another buddy, Ace. Unfornunately, none of the kids slept great that night so Saturday was interesting. We made it to the parade, amidst a decent amount of fussing, but once it started the kids were in heaven. They loved watching the marching bands and see all of the huge floats go by. There wasn't a ton of candy, but we managed to get Lee a few pieces. After the parade, we grabbed some lunch before heading over the the football game with Lee 3. His favorite part by far was seeing the marching band waiting outside the stadium. One of the drummers was so sweet and offered to let Lee play his drum. You would've thought he had told him he could have all the ice cream in the world. His face was priceless! He loved playing the drum and kept asking about his new friend, Ethan, the whole game. He couldn't wait for halftime to see the band play. The halftime show was awesome too! The band did a horse and a basketball player in honor of the 2 champion sports. They were in motion and everything. It was so impressive! We had fun cheering on the Bears but it was cut short due to weather. Once we got back to the hotel, we decided to pack up and head home. All of us were pretty tired! It was fun to see old friends and be back in Waco again.
