2 1/2

This is a little late, but Lee is 2 1/2 now! He is such a big boy these days! He talks more and more all the time and can repeat clearly just about anything we say. He knows what he wants and isn't afraid to ask for it. We are working on the habit of saying "please". One thing I hear a lot these days is, "Let me do it." He wants to be independent and try everything. He knows his colors, counting, and ABC song. He is working on identifying letters and knows about half of them. He loves to read and sing lots of songs before bedtime. His favorite thing to read are his Highlights magazines and do the hidden pictures. His favorite songs right now are Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Loves the Little Children, This Little Light of Mine, I am Jesus' Little Lamb, and the Sanctus (from church). He still loves all vehicles but his favorites are firetrucks, trains, and diggers (our word for any construction truck). He's become quite the little fish and loves to jump off the side of the pool and swim around in his float. He's a sweet big brother, most of the time, and loves to play with Ellis and teach her about his toys. He's a very social boy and waves and smiles at everyone. We love our little boy and are enjoying watching him grow up!
